Traveling to Amsterdam is a once in a lifetime experience!  With its beautiful landscape and welcoming locals, you are sure to have an amazing time.  Amongst the world famous museums, miles of incredible canals, gorgeous parks, and authentic cobblestone streets, Amsterdam is sure not to disappoint.

While known for their marvelous culture, Americans enjoy traveling to Amsterdam for many reasons.  Not only considered one of the best cities in Europe to visit, many people find it comforting to find that nearly everyone speaks English!

While traveling to Amsterdam, there are definitely a few must-sees! Surely you have heard of the red light district, but do you know about the famous canals and the authentic architecture? There are many   things to see and do while in this quaint city.

The tiny restaurants and genuinely friendly local bars are a great spot to grab a bit, throw a few back, and do some great people watching.  Looking for some authentic Dutch cuisine? You’ll find plenty of it! Amsterdam also has a wide variety of all genres of food, with some of the best restaurants around. Vegetarian cuisine is also well represented, which is unusual for Europe.

Amsterdam is one of the few unique cities built upon a canal system.  In fact, the city has 165 of them! Take advantage of this fun mode of transportation and take a canal tour, or a canal taxi to or from your dinner and drinks! Tours range from large open top boats to small candlelight dinner cruises for the romantic couples.

Love the action activities? SnowPlanet is a rare and downright awesome stop along your tour of the city. Where else can you go skiing or snowboarding inside a giant, temperature controlled,  dome of snow!  Open year round, this would be a great once in a lifetime experience.  Check out the climbing wall in Central Station too! But for those of you who need real adventure, you have to check out the kitesurfing and flyboarding! Prefer to stay lower to the ground? Hop into one of the sand buggies! Whichever your adventure preference,  Amsterdam has an outrageous activity for you!
