The Radisson Blu in Amsterdam has been named the best hotel in the Radisson group worldwide, making it the leading venue in the Rezidor Hotel Group in the critical areas of guest satisfaction, employee engagement, business performance, and overall market positioning.
Kurt Ritter, president and CEO of Rezidor gave the Amsterdam venue high praise when he spoke at a recent Award Ceremony during Rezidor's annual Global Business Conference in Nassau, Bahamas. Ritter said “The Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam has delivered an outstanding result - not only in 2011, but over the last three years. It has truly raised the bar in achieving operations and service excellence within our group.” The general manager of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam concurred with the CEO when he added that “Both awards are a thank you and a fantastic motivation to my staff. Such achievements cannot be won by a single employee or following a single activity. They are the result of long term and intense team work."
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Amsterdam set its sights on combining both the past and present in downtown Amsterdam when it designed the hotel to incorporate several existing 18th century merchant houses, a former paper factory and a 19th century vicarage. The hotel currently features 248 guest rooms, several meeting rooms for up to 160 delegates, a dedicated business center, and a modern gym that includes a sauna and solarium. The Radisson Blu in Amsterdam was the first international hotel chain to offer free high speed internet access in all rooms, at all time, and today it continues to operate as a pet-friendly, smoke-free, first-class European destination for travelers from every corner of the world.
